A THERAPUTIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING EXTRACTS OF FORSYTHIA SUSPENSA VAHL AGAINST HIGHLY PATHOGENIC AVIAN INFLUENZA

PURPOSE: A composition containing Forsythia suspensa Vahl extract for preventing or treating high pathogenicity avian influenza H5N1 infection is provided. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating high pathogenicity avian influenza H5N1 infection contains methanol extract of Forsythia suspensa Vahl as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the composition comprises: a step of pulverizing 30g of dried medicinal herbs and immersing in 300mL of 99% methanol and placing the mixture at room temperature for 24 hours; a step of filtering and decompressing 40 degrees Celsius or less; and a step of freeze-drying the extract.
