Supporting devices (26-28) are arranged with a predetermined supporting direction for absorbing deformations of the casing, where the supporting devices are arranged between the foundation and the outer shell. Each supporting device has an end fastened on the outer shell and another end supported on the foundation. The pivot connection between the casing and the foundation or the supporting device neutralizes thermal expansions of the turbine. The supporting devices can be constructed and installed in a simple manner. The turbine can be installed subsequently from the outside, while dismantling or partial dismantling of the turbine is not necessary.
