The wall (10) has a refractory inner liner (12) constituted of prefabricated refractory bricks connected to a rigid plate shaped external support structure (11) by respective suspension devices (15). Each brick (13) has a fastening protrusion (16) arranged at a side of the structure. Each device comprises a retaining clip (21) having clamp shape complementary to the protrusion. The device has a fastener (22) e.g. omega shaped lug, fixed to an inner face of the structure and carrying the clip while authorizing a multidirectional relative movement of the clip with respect to the fastener.
