The device (50) has a housing (52) fixedly secured to a dual clutch transmission for defining two annular slots (62, 64), and two annular pistons (54, 56) slidably arranged in the respective slots. Two annular piston chambers (66, 68) defined by the slots and the pistons are filled with hydraulic fluid. Two annular bearing assemblies (58, 60) in contact with the pistons comprise races, which are in contact with the pistons and the clutches respectively. A dual clutch (10) is actuated by pressurizing the fluid in one of the chambers forcing one of the pistons to slide out of the slots.
