<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection device capable of detecting failures of a network device from traffic information with high accuracy, by discriminating the fluctuations in traffic information accompanying an area change from the fluctuations in traffic information due to the failure. <P>SOLUTION: The failure detection device includes a traffic information acquiring section 11 for acquiring traffic information that is generated when performing communication via a device to be detected from a radio terminal device 2; an area information acquiring section 13 for acquiring area information showing communication environment, in an area with the radio terminal device 2 belonging thereto; an information processing section 15 for performing processing for searching a state of traffic information in the area from a relation between the traffic information and the area information; and a failure detecting section 16 for, based on the state of the traffic information in the area, discriminating fluctuations of the traffic information into fluctuations accompanying the change in communication environment in the area and fluctuations accompanying the failure of the device to be detected, to detect the failure of the device to be detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
