<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pointing device that reduces effect due to stray light on image data imaged in an image sensor, and to provide an electronic device with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pointing device includes a light source 16 for irradiating an object with light, a light guide type optical member 24 for reflecting and guiding reflected light from the object, and the image sensor 15 for receiving the light guided by the light guide type optical member 24. The light source 16 is housed in a structure 20 composed of a translucent resin. The structure 20 is provided with a notched part 25 having an erected surface 20a erected toward an object direction at a part on the side of the image sensor 15 and near the object, in order to prevent the light emitted from the light source 16 from being guided by the light guide type optical member 24 and received by the image sensor 15 without being reflected at the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
