PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream reception device capable of performing an efficient band operation, and efficient channel changeover processing at a receiver side, in an organization form where a 3D stream is distributed via a network, and 2D programs and 3D programs are mixed.

SOLUTION: The stream reception device includes: an information reception part for receiving the control information of a 3D stream distributed by metadata via a network from the outside; a stream securement part for reserving the securement of the 3D stream to be distributed before the distribution of the 3D stream by using the control information received by the information reception part; and a stream reception part for receiving the 3D stream distributed via the network based on the result of the reservation by the stream securement part.
