<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for manufacturing an engraved plate for intaglio printing of sheets of security papers, and to provide a guide data generation system and a method for guiding an engraving tool. <P>SOLUTION: The system for manufacturing an engraved plate for intaglio printing comprises a computer, and an engraving tool controlled by the computer in accordance with a programmed engraving process, wherein the computer is programmed to control the engraving tool in accordance with three-dimensional guiding pixel data of a master depth-map of the sheet of the security paper to engrave a non-engraved plate pixel by pixel, and wherein the master depth-map is generated on the computer on the basis of an original depth-map stored on the computer, the original depth-map consisting of a three-dimensional raster image of the security paper. In the system for generating the guiding data for guiding a computer control engraving tool for manufacturing an engraved plate for intaglio printing of sheets of security papers, the guide data are three dimensional guide pixel data of the master depth map of the sheet, and each pixel of the three dimensional guide pixel data of the master depth map corresponds to a basic engraving process of the computer control engraving tool. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
