BIAXIALLY-ORIENTED CYCLIC OLEFIN FILM AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially-oriented cyclic olefin film capable of improving film strength without injuring superior optical characteristics of a cyclic olefin resin.

SOLUTION: The biaxially-oriented cyclic olefin resin film formed with the cyclic olefin resin is stretched by 1.1 to 1.8 times in MD direction (machine direction) and is stretched by 1.1 to 1.8 times in TD direction (traverse direction) vertical to the MD direction such that tensile strengths become 60 MPa or more and retardation becomes 20 nm or less in both of the MD direction and the TD direction.
