PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly improve lateral grip performance in an off-road travelling such as rally, dirt trial or the like. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 1 includes a block pattern with a plurality of blocks B divided in a tread section 2, and the installation direction thereof into a vehicle is designated. The tread section 2 includes a plurality of inclined grooves 6; and a plurality of connection grooves 7 disposed between the respective inclined grooves 6 and 6 for connecting these inclined grooves 6 and 6. The inclined grooves are extended from a ground contact end To on the outside of the vehicle to a ground contact end Ti on the inside of the vehicle across a tire equator C when viewed from above with a vehicle traveling direction F as the front, and are incliningly extended to the first arrival side in a tire rotation direction R at an angleαof 20-45 degrees with respect to the tire circumferential direction. The connection grooves 7 are inclined at an angleβof 90-180 degrees with respect to the tire rotation direction.
