PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery monitoring system for a mobile body capable of performing selection processing of a transmission route with reliability. SOLUTION: A transmitter 5 adds information for detecting an error for every unit data of a display screen of a display 3 and transmits an imaging signal. A receiver 6 decides a transmission state by a transmission system A as an abnormality on condition that errors are continuously detected in a plurality of pieces of unit data transmitted through the transmission system A and selects the imaging signal transmitted through a transmission system B instead of the transmission system A.
