PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cleaning a nozzle, capable of preventing blocking of a nozzle by a film formed in the ejection port or on the inner wall of the nozzle during a prolonged suspension or the like of its operation, and a method of producing droplets capable of preventing the blocking of the nozzles of a simple structure without wiping the same by employing the method of cleaning a nozzle, and capable of suitably producing droplets from all of the nozzles by preserving high water-repelling capability thereof. SOLUTION: The method of cleaning a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid stored in a storing means, is characterized by including a process of dissolving a film formed of solid components contained in the liquid by feeding the liquid to the nozzles blocked by the film, among the plurality of nozzles, by ejecting the liquid from the unblocked nozzles adjacent to the blocked nozzles without allowing the liquid to form a droplet.
