The air bag is formed of two surface sections (3), which have edge sections. The edge sections are sectionally connected with each other and form a seam (4). The seam is arranged on the outer side of the air bag. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an air bag, particularly the air bag of the frontal air bag device.
