The method for producing a thermally sprayed cylinder barrel (2) for combustion engines, comprises applying a coating (3) on an inner side of a cylinder by means of a thermal spraying. The coating is processed by a machining method and then by high pressure water jets with a pressure of 200 bar by means of a water lance, which is axially moved in the cylinder parallel to a cylinder axis (10) and is movably rotated around a water lance axis. The high pressure water jet is radiated to ten nozzles of water lance, where the nozzles are formed respectively as a fan nozzle or an edge beam nozzle. The method for producing a thermally sprayed cylinder barrel (2) for the combustion engines, comprises applying a coating (3) on an inner side of a cylinder by means of a thermal spraying.
