PURPOSE: An average internal loop-back antenna calibration method for an array antenna system are provided to reduce an error in a single RF correction by calculating the arithmetic average of the response to an average RF transmitter. CONSTITUTION: In an average internal loop-back antenna calibration method for an array antenna system, a P-th RF transmitter having a maximum gain is selected. The RF reception calibration factor vector is obtained through an RF receiver response. An average reception calibration factor is obtained. The P-th RF receiver having maximum gain is selected. The RF transmission calibration factor vector is obtained through the RF transmitter response. The average transmission calibration factor is obtained.
