摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for imparting tolerance to a plant body by retrieving acidic environment compatibility-involving gene from Cyanidioschyzon merolae gene and finding a gene useful for constructing a transformed plant having excellent stress resistances such as acid resistance and metallic ion resistance, a plant transformed using the gene, and the gene useful as a research tool. <P>SOLUTION: A method for imparting acid tolerance and metallic ion tolerance to a plant by introducing a gene represented by (a) or (b), and a transformant constructed by the method are provided: (a) is a gene encoding a protein comprising a specific amino acid sequence; and (b) is a gene encoding a protein comprising an amino acid sequence in which a part of the amino acid sequence of (a) is deleted, substituted or added, wherein the gene has a property to impart acid tolerance and metallic ion tolerance to the plant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
