PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for facilitating confirmation of a measured torque value in a torque measuring device which is fitted between a fastening apparatus and a fastening member, rotates integrally with rotation action of the fastening apparatus relating to its fastening, and measures a fastening torque. SOLUTION: The torque measuring device includes: a torque sensor shaft which has at its one end a recessed part into which the square drive of the fastening apparatus for fastening the fastening member is fitted, and has at the other end the square drive to be fitted into a socket which engages with the fastening member; a strain gauge which is arranged on the surface of the torque sensor shaft, and outputs an electric signal in accordance with a strain generated in the torque sensor shaft; a case which is fixed integrally to the torque sensor shaft, and houses an electric circuit for torque measurement; an antenna for transmitting a measured torque value calculated on the basis of electric signals output by the strain gauge, with a radio wave in the 2.4 GHz band; a measured-torque-value transmission control part for transmitting the maximum torque value out of torque values calculated on the basis of the electric signals, through the antenna as the measured torque value.
