PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which efficiently detects stripe flicker to be generated when a CMOS imaging device using a rolling shutter is used under an environment in which a light source whose light emission amount periodically fluctuates is used for lighting, or suppresses the flicker with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a first photodiode for imaging an object, and a second photodiode for detecting a change in light emission intensity of the light source, which are arranged on one image pickup device. The image pickup device which has a means for individually setting exposure time of the first and second photodiodes is used as an imaging means of the imaging apparatus. The imaging apparatus is provided with a means for correcting an imaging signal of the object acquired by the first photodiode by feature quantity of the flicker acquired from the second photodiode of the imaging device.
