PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smell agent for antidepression of a completely new type, which has an extremely small amount of exposure to the human body, suppresses adverse effects to a minimum and exhibits an antidepression action by stimulating sense of smell. SOLUTION: The smell agent for antidepression includes a pyrazine compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R1-R4are each independently a hydrogen atom or 1-10C hydrocarbon) as an active ingredient.
