<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a recording medium that improves productivity; and to provide the recording medium manufactured by the method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, a mask 15 for using a talbot effect is arranged on one side of the plate-like recording medium 17.
