PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the appearance of a room from being spoiled by making a space between an indoor unit and a wall surface of the room look small after installation. SOLUTION: In this indoor unit including a casing 50 having a front panel 52 at its front surface, the casing 50 includes a pair of plane sections 57a, 58a respectively disposed at a right-side section 57 and a left-side section 58 roughly in parallel with each other, and a decorative board 53 extending from the plane sections 57a, 58a at the right-side section 57 and the left-side section 58, and projecting outward in the longitudinal direction (X direction) of the casing 50.
