PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated rubber body for base isolation, and a base isolation device which are strong against buckling. SOLUTION: The base isolation device 10 includes the laminated rubber body 12, and mounting plates 14A, 14B. The laminate rubber body 12 is a laminated body of alternately laminating a plurality of disk metal plates 20 and a plurality of disk rubbers 16 in a thickness direction (the arrow B direction). The metal plate 20 is metal plates of two types with different thicknesses, and the thicker metal plate 20 is a first metal plate 21, and the thinner metal plate 20 is a second metal plate 22.
