PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system for business use that makes a call without emitting call voice even when a direct voice call is made. SOLUTION: The intercom system for business use includes a plurality of master units 1 and a slave unit 2 connected through a control unit 2. A master unit 1 has a direct voice call function for emitting sound to a master unit 1 to be called for a direct call, and a direct voice response function for forming a call path for a direct response by voice when receiving a direct voice call. Further, the master unit 1 includes: a direct voice call prohibition part which prohibits the call from being broadcasted when receiving a direct voice call, and a master unit CPU 19 that prohibits the call voice from being emitted to make a call by a call tone when the direct voice call is prohibited. When receiving a direct voice call while the direct voice call is prohibited, the master unit CPU 19 outputs a call tone and transmits the call tone to the calling master unit 1.
