PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system which cancels the finishing of an image display by an operation, when the image required to be displayed is displayed. SOLUTION: This imade display system 100 includes a display 11 allowing switching of a first mode to visually observe a display surface and a second mode hard to visually observe the display surface, an operation receiving means 12 for receiving an operation for switching the display 11 from the first mode to the second mode, a photographing means 16 for supplying images to the display 11, and a control means 15 for deciding whether the image is legally defined to be displayed when the operation receiving means 12 receives the operation for switching the display 11 from the first mode to the second mode and inhibiting the display 11 from being switched from the first mode to the second mode when the display of the image is legally defined.
