PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor in which a sealing member is surely prevented from coming off from a seal holding portion without adding a component and high sealability in a yoke is firmly maintained. SOLUTION: The electric motor includes: a yoke 1; a bracket 2 having the rear connected to the yoke 1 and the front connected to the outer surface of an engine case 23; and an output shaft 5 of a rotor 4, which pierces through the bracket 2 and extends inside of the engine case 23. The bracket 2 is integrally equipped with; a seal holding portion 17 which is opened toward the rear, and press-fits and holds a circular sealing member 16 externally inserted into the output shaft 5 from the rear, a seal abutting portion 18 bulging in the inside of a diameter direction on the front of the seal holding portion 17 and abutting onto the front end of the sealing member 16 held on the seal holding portion 17; and a bearing holding portion 10 which is formed with an inner diameter larger than that of the seal holding portion 17, formed adjacently to the rear of the seal holding portion 17 and holds a bearing member 7 for rotatably supporting the output shaft 5.
