PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root bark reinforcing member which can make a root bark hard to be extended and also can fix metallic fittings such as a D-ring and a square ring not to be vertically moved or rotated. SOLUTION: The root bark reinforcing member 1 is formed of a plastic plate 2 including: a tongue shape center piece 3; a peripheral edge 5 in the periphery of the center piece; and a hole 4 which is arranged close to the base of the center piece 3 and to which the front end 31 of the bent center piece 3 is inserted. When the root bark reinforcing member 1 is attached to the ring shape metallic fittings 6 having a linear portion, the linear portion 61 of the metallic fittings 6 is inserted between the center piece 3 and the peripheral edge 5, and then, the peripheral edge 5 is bent so as to be put around the linear portion 61. Then, the center piece 3 is bent so as to be put around the linear portion 61 in the opposite direction of the direction to bend the peripheral edge 5.
