Disclosed is an outlet which is provided in a power distribution system comprising a control means for controlling power supply to an electric device and to which the electric device is connected, said outlet being provided with a switch which is controlled to get into the off state by the control means when the off condition that is a preset condition for restricting the power supply to the electric device is satisfied. Also disclosed is the power distribution system in which the outlet is provided. The switch is switchable between the on state in which the power supply to the electric device is permitted and the off state in which the power supply to the electric device is restricted.
