PURPOSE: A device and method for executing an application are provided to effectively execute the application by selecting optimized application executing method according to a situation. CONSTITUTION: An executor(220) executes an application based on a self-process using a terminal or a remote-processing using a remote server. A controller(230) presumes a first effectiveness about the self-processing and a second effectiveness about the remote-processing. The first and the second effectiveness area defined based on a running time of application and amount of electricity used by the terminal.
