<p>A method of establishing an optimized media path and a signaling gateway are provided, which are used in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. The method includes: in the processing of forwarding Session Description Protocol (SDP) requests and responses, when receiving the SDP response of the first session, the first Application Layer Gateway (ALG) determines there is an optimized media path to the second ALG, then transmits the SDP response with the indication information when transmitting the SDP response of the first session; the first ALG sends the SDP request targeting at the second ALG; the second ALG sends the SDP response of the first session after receiving the SDP respond of the first session with the indication information or the SDP request targeting at the second ALG and the SDP response of the first session with the indication information.</p> |
