<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle component with seats of a body receiving metal inserts capable of preventing separation between the body and the metal inserts, and a method for manufacturing the component. <P>SOLUTION: A pedal crank 1 for a bicycle consisting of structural fibers incorporated in a matrix of polymeric material has two seats 4, 7 in which two metal inserts 5, 8 are received.
