<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium composite metal oxide which is suitable as a cathode active material giving a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell with a greater service capacity. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium composite metal oxide is represented by formula (A): Li<SB>x</SB>(Mn<SB>1-(y+z)</SB>Ni<SB>y</SB>Fe<SB>z</SB>)O<SB>2</SB>(wherein x is not smaller than 0.9 and not greater than 1.3, y is greater than 0.5 and not greater than 0.7 and z is greater than 0 and not greater than 0.1). This invention gives a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell with a higher service capacity than that of conventional lithium secondary cell. This secondary cell is excellent in cycling characteristics and can show a high output at a high current rate. This invention is extremely useful in the use requiring a high output at a high current rate, that is, a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell for power tool such as for cars and other electric power tools. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
