<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural substance having an effective anti-inflammatory effect for blending the substance as a skin preparation for external use or skin cosmetic, such as skin preparations for external use and skin cosmetics for preventing and treating sun burn, and for using the substance for health foods. <P>SOLUTION: This anti-inflammatory composition is characterized by containing ≥1 kind selected from the group consisting of a rice bran extract, Echinocloa esculenta extract, foxtail millet extract, sage extract, Zanthoxylum bungeanua extract, Styphnolobium japonicum extract, Curcuma zedoaria extract and an aqueous solution of Zizania latifolia.
