<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device excellent in light extraction efficiency by suppressing the deterioration (sulphiding) of a silver-containing layer which is formed on the front surface of a metallic member arranged in the substrate of a semiconductor light-emitting element, and keeping high reflectance. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device 100 includes the substrate 101 where the metallic member 102 having the silver-containing layer 103 on the front surface is arranged, the light-emitting element 105 placed on the substrate, and a translucent sealing member 107 for at least partially sealing the light-emitting element and the metallic member. The silver-containing layer is coated with a silicone oil modifying member 104. Consequently, the deterioration of the silver-containing layer, especially, sulphiding is suppressed thereby to provide a highly reliable light-emitting device excellent in light emission efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
