PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce the arithmetic amount of detection of a pattern of matching data storage data capacity necessary for the detection and correction of an optional pattern, having prescribed pattern size or below from binarized image data. SOLUTION: An image pattern detection correction device includes: a matching data storage means for storing matching data set with first data in all external blocks adjacent to an internal block and set with second data, within a block that is a specified vertex of the internal block; a pattern-matching means for comparing the matching data with the image data comprising a plurality of blocks, each being binarized to 0 or 1, and performing decision as a fit, when the image data and data of a position corresponding to the matching data fit; and a data correction means for correcting data of the block set to one of the blocks of the positions compared with the internal block of the matching data to 0, when the pattern matching means is decided as being a fit.
