PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve accurate switch operation which determines approach/contact of an object inexpensively with a simple structure with standby power requirement reduced. SOLUTION: A capacitance switch device is provided with a design plate 1 with transmission patterns 3A to 3C prepared, sensor electrodes 11 to 13, a sensor electrode 19 surrounding them 11 to 13, diffusion plates 2A to 2C, LEDs 51 to 53 and a circuit portion 20. The sensor electrode 19 detects approach of hands or the like, and the sensor electrodes 11 to 13 detect touch of fingers or the like. When hands or the like are apart from the switch, the sensor electrodes 11 to 13 are in an off-mode state to have a potential of floating, a capacitance value detected at the sensor electrode 19 is increased by capacitance coupling. Therefore, a structure of device does not need a switch or the like for switching between ON/Off modes of each sensor electrode 11 to 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
