The terminal has input units (1) for inputting data, and a housing in which the input units and a display unit are arranged. The housing is arranged in a building area i.e. entrance area of home, such that the display unit and/or the input units are accessible by a user. A hardware interface e.g. local area network (LAN) port, wireless LAN interface and universal serial bus (USB)interface, is connected with the input units and display unit for performing data exchange with technical- and/or electronic devices in and/or outside of a building.
