<p>Ultrasonograph (1) equipped with a gel dispenser (2) having at least one probe (3) that emits and receives signals comprising a flexible gel reservoir (4) for medical, paramedical and/or veterinary use. The gel comes from a hermetic and sterile flexible pouch (4), hermetically connected by gel conveying means such as tubes (8, 10) to a peristaltic pump (9). A gel dispenser device independent of the connecting cord of a probe and independent of a probe (3), with just one channel for delivering gel to the outlet of the tube (10), comprises a drive device with controllable and constant pulse (5), controlled manually by a control switch (24), interposed between the pump (9) drive device (5) and the control switch (24), or comprises a drive device with controllable and constant pulse (5) controlled from the keyboard of the ultrasonagraph (1), the purpose of all this being to dispense gel via a single path to any type of probe presented beneath a calibrating nozzle (13). Use of the gel dispenser (2) forming an independent one-way fluid circuit for supplying gel in standardized quantities to the support (22) of a retractable nozzle (13). The volume of gel delivered can be collected on the signal transmission and/or receiving window (7) of a probe (3) of the ultrasonograph (1) in order automatically to relieve the operator of the spurious task of manually applying gel and to safeguard the gel that remains for subsequent applications against contact with the air, the patient or any other sources of contamination or contaminating factors.</p> |
