PURPOSE: A power train for a hybrid vehicle is provided to materialize multiple fixed gear ratio modes by allowing a motor generator to selectively generate power. CONSTITUTION: A power train for a hybrid vehicle comprises a planetary gear set, an output element(O/P), a first motor generator(MG1), an engine(E/G), a first clutch(CL1), a second clutch(CL2), a second motor generator(MG2), a first brake(BK1), and a second brake(BK2). The planetary gear set comprises four or more rotation elements. The output element is connected to one of the rotation elements. The first motor generator is connected to one rotation element which is not connected to the output element. The engine is connected to one rotation element which is not connected to the output element and the first motor generator. The first and second clutches are serially connected to a gap between the last rotation element and the rotation element which is connected to the output element. The second motor generator is connected to a connection part between the first and second clutches. The first brake restricts the rotation of the rotation element connected to the motor generator. The second brake is connected to the connection part between the first and second clutches.
