<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in position detection methods using an opening/closing door selection system. <P>SOLUTION: Position detection is performed by combining a position detection method using a tacho generator 6 using information from the inside of the vehicle, and a position detection method using a GPS receiver 7 using information from the outside. When results of both of the position detections do not match, a driver or passenger is caused to confirm or set a right position.
