<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen which has a diffusion function of diffusing incident light and also includes a pattern for coordinate recognition wherein coordinates on a surface are patterned by a predetermined algorithm. <P>SOLUTION: The screen 20 which has the diffusion function of diffusing incident light and also includes a pattern 22b for coordinate recognition wherein coordinates on a surface 20a are patterned by the predetermined algorithm, includes a support base material 21 and the layer of the pattern 22 for the coordinate recognition, which is supported by the support base material 21 and includes the pattern 22b for the coordinate recognition. The screen 20 is sectioned into a pattern area 27A including the pattern 22b for the coordinate recognition and a non-pattern area 27B not including the pattern 22b for the coordinate recognition in the view from the normal direction of the screen 20.
