<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device configured to separate the leading end of a recording material by compressed air, and dispensing with a large-power compressor preventing increase in size of the device. <P>SOLUTION: This fixing device fixes a toner image on the recording material by a nip part formed by a heated fixing member and a pressure member pressing to the fixing member. The device includes: a first spraying means for spraying the air to the vicinity of the leading end of the recording material having passed through the nip part to separate the recording material from the fixing member; and a second spraying means for spraying the air to the recording material having passed through the nip part to separate the recording material from the fixing member. The wind velocity of the air discharged from a first discharge opening provided in the first spraying means is higher than the wind velocity of the air discharged from a second discharge opening provided in the second spraying means, the quantity of the air discharged from the first discharge opening is less than the quantity of the air discharged from the second discharge opening, and the first discharge port is disposed at the same position as the second discharge port in the direction parallel to the rotary shaft of the fixing member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
