<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problems that when employing electrical connection between a recording apparatus body and a plurality of cartridges through common signal lines (so-called, bus connection constitution), the number of signal lines is reduced, thereby, a cost reduction is achieved, but whether the cartridge is mounted on the correct cartridge mounting portion is not recognized only by exchange of information through the common signal line. <P>SOLUTION: The light emission of the light emitting portion of the cartridge is controlled based on the information transmitted to the cartridge through the common signal line and information stored in the memory of the cartridge (identification information and color information), then, whether the cartridge is mounted on the correct cartridge mounting portion is decided using the light reception result of the light receiving portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
