PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control apparatus for a continuously variable transmission, improving the durability of the CVT by correcting pulley side pressure according to a determination result as to whether an operation of an ABS mechanism is delayed. SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission (CVT) is mounted on a vehicle equipped with an ABS control means (ABSECU) controlling operation of the ABS mechanism and transmits power of a drive source mounted on the vehicle to drive wheels via a belt wound around between a drive pulley and a driven pulley. The control device of the continuously variable transmission sets the pulley side pressure for laterally pressing the belt based on transmission torque of the belt, determines whether the operation of the ABS mechanism by the ABS control means is delayed (S10), and corrects the pulley side pressure according to the determination result of an ABS operation delay determining means (S12, S14).
