PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent delay of signal transmission between nodes when a fault occurs in a transmission path of a network, in a network with a plurality of nodes connected with one another in a ring-like form. SOLUTION: When ring protection is applied at an HO-ODU level, and a fault occurs in a transmission path of a network, a fault end changeover process for turning back from a current line to a preliminary line at the HO-ODU level is performed at a fault end. At a transmission/reception end of an LO-ODU, a transmission/reception end changeover process for changing over a transmission direction or a reception direction of the LO-ODU is performed as needed to optimize the path of the LO-ODU. Thus, when a fault of the transmission path occurs, the path of the LO-ODU never takes a redundant path turning back at the fault end. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
