METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR KEEPING TRAFFIC CONTINUITY THROUGH TRAFFIC OFFLOAD FUNCTION (TOF) ENTITY

The present invention provides a method for keeping traffic continuity through Traffic Offload Function (TOF) entity. The method includes that: a TOF entity receives downlink offload traffic packets for a User Equipment (UE) from Packet Data Network (PDN), and said TOF entity sends a Core Network (CN) paging message to said UE. Said TOF entity receives a paging response from the UE to CN, and the paging response includes a service request message from the UE. The service request message includes a service type field and the service type field indicates paging response. The TOF entity forwards the service request message to CN so that CN can establish Radio Access Bearer (RAB) after receiving the service request message. Said service request type field indicates data contents. The method enables communication between CN and UE, and ensures traffic transmission. The present invention provides a TOF entity correspondingly.
