The method involves thermally, chemically and/or mechanically processing mold tool inner surface (5) to produce a negative structure (6) on the inner surface. A positive structure is produced on a mold part surface of the mold part formed with a mold tool (1). The mold inner surface is processed by laser radiation, etching, milling and/or electro discharge machining. The mold part is formed by plastic injection molding, and the cover layer is made of plastic and attached on the mold part surface.
