PURPOSE: A refrigerator and an ice maker for a refrigerator are provided to enable an ice bank not to be protruded in the width direction of an ice tray since ices are discharged in the length direction of the ice tray. CONSTITUTION: An ice maker for a refrigerator comprises an ice tray(151), an ejector(191) and a transfer unit(230). The ice tray comprises a plurality of cells(152). The ejector separates the ice from the cell. The ejector comprises a shaft(193), a plate, a plurality of fingers(195) and a shaft driving unit(211). The plate is projected from one side of the shaft. The finger is projected from the other side of the shaft. The transfer unit transfers the separated ice in the length direction of the ice tray.
