<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct trapezoidal distortion in a horizontal direction at a high speed in an image processing apparatus, such as a projector. <P>SOLUTION: The projector reads lines of an image before correction in the unit of blocks from a DRAM in an oblique direction and stores the result to a cache memory. A cache control circuit discriminates whether target block data is stored in the cache memory in response to a request from a keystone correction circuit. When the target block is stored in the cache memory as a result, the cache control circuit reads the block data from the cache memory. Meanwhile, when no target block data is stored in the cache memory, the cache control circuit reads the target block data from a DRAM. Then the keystone correction circuit interpolates pixel values of the image after the correction by using the read block data and a prescribed interpolation filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
