PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode capable of enhancing the output and reliability of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.

SOLUTION: The positive electrode for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a current collector made of an aluminum porous sintered body and contains an active material, a conducting assistant and a lithium ion conductive material in the pores of the aluminum porous sintered body, and the aluminum porous sintered body has the metal skeletons of three-dimensional network structure and pores between the metal skeletons, and Al3Ti-based compounds are dispersed in the metal skeletons.
