PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of performing access to a virtual memory area without starting a magnetic auxiliary memory device in a resting state while reducing power consumption by stopping power supply to a magnetic auxiliary memory device. SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus includes: a volatile main memory; a non-volatile magnetic auxiliary memory for storing data in a magnetic disk; and a non-volatile semiconductor type auxiliary memory for storing data in a semiconductor memory, and configured to operate in either a normal power consumption state or a low power consumption state that at least power supply to the magnetic auxiliary memory is stopped. The magnetic auxiliary memory and the semiconductor type auxiliary memory are respectively provided with a virtual memory area for temporarily saving data stored in the main memory, and provided with a control means for using the virtual memory area of the semiconductor type auxiliary memory when this electronic apparatus operates in the low power consumption state.
